The coordinator of the HiDALGO2 project had the chance to participate in the event “Becoming a zettabytes economy. Advanced data centres impact & what Beyond?” this October.
Marcin Lawenda presented a talk titled “Large-Scale Environmental Simulations as a Step Towards Digital Twins: The Perspective of a European Scientific Project.” He also participated in a panel discussion focused on the use of data in business, sustainability, AI, security, and future technological developments, addressing the role of individuals in these areas.
We appreciate the invitation and the chance to share our insights on important topics. The discussions surrounding the evolving role of data and technology in shaping sustainable cities and businesses were particularly meaningful and thought-provoking.
The event was co-organized by:
Netherlands-Polish Chamber of Commerce
This was the fourth meeting in the series, Connecting Business, Science, and Government, which we organized together as the NPCC board operating regionally in Wielkopolska, Poland.
In 2023, a new form of knowledge sharing between the business, public and educational sectors was initiated. One of the goals that was set is to go beyond the comfort zone of classic business meetings and introduce interactive meetings on topics that shape the future of various sectors in business, both large and small. In this way, our local contribution is made to the debate on a number of real economic, technological, climatic, social, etc. challenges.
The October meeting was held under the title: Becoming a zettabytes economy. Advanced data centers impact & what Beyond?
Previous meetings covered topics such as the future of agriculture and food security (in cooperation with the University of Life Sciences in Poznań), the labour market in the era of artificial intelligence (in cooperation with CDV and students of IT and Creative Management), green transformation and energy (in cooperation with Veolia Poznań). We also carry out all activities in the framework of very good cooperation with the city of Poznań.
Stay tuned for the HiDALGO2 attendance in more events!
