HiDALGO2 project participates in the upcoming ISC High Performance 2024 Conference with a presentation taking place during the “Workshop on Readiness of HPC Extreme-scaling Application”.
Namely, Harald Koestler from our partner, Friedrich–Alexander University of Erlangen–Nuremberg (FAU) will speak in a presentation entitled, “Performance portable and scalable particulate flow simulations using the waLBerla framework”. In this talk, he will present the latest numerical results from particulate flow simulations conducted on EuroHPC machines using the multi-physics simulation framework waLBerla. The EuroHPC infrastructure makes it possible to investigate the complex interplay of multiple physical phenomena at unprecedented scales. Our project’s results demonstrate the capability of Walberla to run on different HPC platforms, where the performance portability is achieved by code generation technology. Exemplary applications are material transport in riverbeds or antidunes.
Our project will also be presented at the EuroHPC JU booth with a video demonstration and a presentation by our partners.
The ISC High-Performance Conference is a key leading HPC event that provides a platform for scientists and engineers to share their discoveries and connect with over 3,000 HPC enthusiasts. This year it will connect public and industry users and technology developers in Hamburg, Germany, from May 12 – 16.
