EURO HPC SUMMIT 2024 (https://www.eurohpcsummit.eu/)
HiDALGO2 project is glad to join actively the EuroHPC Summit 2024 Summit on Tuesday 19 March with a presentation and a poster session.
Our presentation will take place at 11:30-13:00 within a session entitled “Centres of Excellence: Deploying Flagship Codes on EuroHPC Supercomputers”. Our project coordinator Dr Marcin Lawenda from Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center was invited by EuroHPC Joint Undertaking as a speaker at the EuroHPC Summit 2024 conference to present this session, which is composed of presentations and discussion panel and to share his experience in the context of the HiDALGO2 Centre of Excellence. The presentation will concentrate on aspects related to benefits for European researchers and the wider community from simulations delivered by HiDALGO2 and other CoEs, whose codes are already available on EuroHPC systems. The chair of the session is Linda Gesenhues from the EuroHPC JU.

The poster session of all projects will occur during dedicated timeslots after the lunch break on Tuesday 19th March and Wednesday 20th March. HiDALGO2 will be presented during the 1st poster session οn Tuesday 19/03, between 14:15 and 15:15, among other related projects and CoEs, such as EXCELLERAT, ChEESE, and ESiWACE, with which we have been collaborating all the previous past time. This session provides the chance toreply to questions and possibly explain and present the project to small audiences.
Another interesting activity of this Summit is the “Success Stories” session, where you can learn more about several successful collaborations and synergies between NCCs, CoEs, and other actors. Also, do not miss the chance to participate in an interactive discussion led by speakers who are versed in user support in their NCCs/CoEs and entitled “Fishbowl on User Support”. Last, there will be a “Speed Dating” between audience members and NCCs/CoEs representatives, thus an informal get-together between visitors and people from CoEs and NCCs, where during a slot of 5-10 minutes, people will have the chance to discuss common topics of interest.
Building a leading EuroHPC ecosystem!
