About artificial intelligence in the energy industry
How does unmanned meter storage work? Do Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) also work well in the energy industry? How does nuclear fusion determine the future of energy? These are just a few of the topics that were discussed during AI EnergINN – a conference organised by Enea Operator and project coordinator, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) on 23-24 April 2024. More specifically, AI EnergINN is an industry conference dedicated to using AI in power engineering and it is part of the EXPOPOWER fair in Poznan, Poland. It gathers researchers and experts to promote novel solutions for energy transformation.
Our partner, Wojtek Szeliga from our project coordinators team, PSNC attended the AI EnergyNN and presented information on the HiDALGO2 Project’s Use Case, Renewable Energy Sources. For us, it was a pleasure to take part in it and it was an opportunity to exchange experience on innovative topics. Together with one of the biggest Polish DSOs, Enea Operator, we presented to the audience the importance of precise weather modelling for energy network operators. The attendees also learned how the contribution of PSNC to the HIDALGO2 project could support both DSOs and local communities. We received a lot of positive feedback.
Among the speakers were the employees of Enea Operator and PSNC, scientists from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, as well as representatives of companies and institutions that use innovative solutions provided by AI in their work related to energy production, storage, and distribution.
